In my fourth episode of season two, I am joined by my pal Deb Barnhill to overthink about disability.
We dive into:
• The realities of being disabled
• The importance of a sense of humour amid struggles
• Trying new things even if you’re uncomfortable
Deb shares a busy home with her husband and two teenaged daughters. A pharmacist by education, she has worked with Nova Scotia Health since shortly after settling in Truro in 2003. In 2018, she moved into her current position within the provincial Cancer Care Program. Her leisure time is spent in pursuit of any combination of her favourite things: knitting, cooking, podcasts and coffee. She has taught knitting on the international conference circuit, and has designed and knitted pieces for magazines, books, movies and television.
