Chef Gillian has always loved her time in the kitchen and has a lifelong passion for bringing people together over memorable experiences. Her first dish was a salmon loaf at 7 years old, so it’s a good thing she’s come a long way from there.
While finishing her graduate diploma in Australia in 2008, she worked with a wine company and started hosting wine-pairing-style dinners from her home in Melbourne. As the guests continued to return, bring their friends, and ask for the recipes, Gillian was inspired to start her blog and now business where she’s better known as “One Blonde Chef”.
Chef Gillian’s approach is to combine simple techniques that are inspired by international flavours. The goal is to create impressive, yet approachable dishes and put her own twist on recipes such as Ackee & Saltfish Phyllo Cups with a Roasted Tomato.
