What if we got the idea of self care wrong?
What is self care isn’t about spa days, and buying candles and cozy robes and a glass of wine? What if self care was supposed to be about time, and contentment, and asking for help, and being paid a fair and living wage?
What if self care wasn’t supposed to be something that was whitewashed and purchased?
What if it was a fundamental change in how we support our needs?
Today, on the podcast, I’m diving into what self care SHOULD mean, and how we can support ourselves in times of higher output.
Todays episode is sponsored by the Nova Scotia Government. Today I’m asking you, as part of our team of 971,000, to work to slow the spread of COVID-19. Online self-assessments are available HERE (and are SO easy to fill out and book a time for testing!) and anyone living in HRM between the ages of 18-35 can volunteer to have a COVID test completed to help slow the spread in our province. As my 6 year old says, teamwork makes the dream work. Let’s do this.
